Un-fucking believable

So yesterday I spent 2 hours in a queue at the traffic department, to finally arrive at the counter to register my bike. I can't, why?  Because the guy I sold my Vespa to in April of 2014 hasn't bothered to register it in his name let alone pay the licence.
Fan-fucking-tastic so I contact the guy,  and it's like dude, wtf it's been 2 years why haven't you done it yet? I been in a queue for hours just to find this shit out, now there are penalties and I can't register my bike till its sorted. The guy says he's sorry and he just hasn't got to it but it's at Vespa to be registered as we speak, now I know I'm a gullible twat but seriously after 2 years I'm supposed to believe this. Then he says I don't see why standing in the queue for 2 hours is my problem but I will sort this out.
He's probably right it's not his problem, but had he bothered to stand in a queue two years ago I would have had no reason to speak to the twat, and seriously you funked up and you want to act like a cunt about it???  So the hell with it all, I sent him a message and told him I'm scrapping the Vespa and he can deal with it.
Today I get a call and messages asking me not to scrap the bike and be reasonable, well after 2 more hours in the queue I got my bike registered and the Vespa de-registered.
Another message from him and it's like dude it's done.
His response is to threaten me.... lol
Now I probably am an asshole for having done that, but seriously just how much shit must one actually take from people.
And seriously if you wanted me not to scrap the bike surely treating me like an asshole was not the best way to go about achieving it.
There seems to be a culture of always having to be right, and not taking responsibility for your actions, asshole or not, today I hope I helped him take some responsibility.
So in ending this it begs the question, when wanting something from someone, is it preferable to treat them like assholes or with respect?

  1. Totally understand your frustration, but there is a yellow form you get from the traffic department for when you sell your vehicle. Both you and the buyer fill it in. You, as the seller, can go had this in at the traffic department. The buyer has about 30 days to do the registration. After this it will not be your problem. This is how I did it when I sold my bike. :-)

  2. Milo, I loved this... I could visualise you getting pissy. I also remember when we were young, your fuse was way longer than mine! So he deserved it.. :)

Love and Happiness

At this time of year when everyone is reminded that being a human being is being kind and loving, forgiving and tolerant, I feel that it's all bullshit, this is not a state for the holidays, this should be a constant state and something we should strive towards in our everyday lives. I blogged about being a "mensch" and perhaps it's good to remind ourselves what it means to be one. what follows is that blog A while ago I mentioned being a “mensch” and I was not really clear on what it means. A good friend and client brought this in for me, it’s part of an article written by Charlotte Cohen, and it sums it up well. What is a honourable mensch It is a voice, and the understanding behind it. It is the eyes, and the intelligence behind them. It is the recognition that support is needed, and asked for, giving it And the kindness that lies behind all of that. It’s keeping quiet when one ought and speaking when one should and knowing the difference. It’s giving pr

These gay days it seems

In light of what we are seeing in the world today, specially in the US, I am always reminded of this song. In 76 this was an issue and it's half a century later and it feels more relevant than ever, why must people live in fear for being themselves, in fear of living when those around them do so without a thought for anyone else. We have allowed those loudest voices to rob us of compassion and love for one another, we have allowed them to brow beat us into hiding who we are, who our kids are, and in turn robbing us all of a future. I am not as kind as Rod about those that killed Georgie, in that time ignorance my have been a factor, today however this is not ignorance, this is malevolence, orchestrated hate. If this song doesn't touch you, go take a hard look in the mirror, I bet you won't like what you see. Oh yeah In these days of changing ways So called liberated days A story comes to mind of a friend of mine Georgie boy was gay I guess Nothin' more or nothin' l
